MANAGER, STRATEGIC GROWTH
Are you excited by the challenge of growing a business in a complex, highly regulated industry? Do you enjoy building relationships, developing partnerships, navigating public-sector procurement processes, and translating technical concepts into clear, compelling stories?
Archipelago is looking for a Manager, Strategic Growth to help shape the future of our organization and expand the reach of our fisheries monitoring and environmental solutions around the world.
This is not a traditional sales role. Success in this position comes from developing a deep understanding of our industry, building credibility with government agencies, NGOs, industry associations, regulators, and commercial clients, and helping clients understand how technology and data can support sustainable resource management.
If you are energized by learning complex industries, creating new opportunities, and building systems and processes that drive long-term growth, we’d love to hear from you.
ABOUT ARCHIPELAGO
For almost 50 years, Archipelago has been a global leader in fisheries monitoring and marine environmental services. Our team of over 100 professionals develops and deploys innovative technologies that support sustainable fisheries management, environmental stewardship, and marine resource conservation.
Our FishVue suite of products is used by fisheries agencies, regulators, and industry organizations around the world to collect, analyze, and report critical fisheries data. We also provide environmental consulting and monitoring services throughout Canada, the United States, Australia, and beyond.
Headquartered on Victoria’s waterfront, Archipelago operates internationally with offices in Canada, the United States, and Australia.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the President, the Manager, Strategic Growth is responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing growth opportunities across Archipelago’s business lines.
You will work closely with our Executive Team, technical experts, and Product Engineering group to represent Archipelago’s capabilities and our FishVue technology platform in markets around the world.
This role combines business development, strategic relationship management, public-sector engagement, and market development. You will help shape how Archipelago grows, build the systems that support that growth, and play a key role in expanding our presence in new regions and markets.
This position offers significant autonomy and influence. You will not be stepping into a mature sales machine with established processes and support teams already in place. Instead, you will have the opportunity to build, improve, and scale many of the tools, processes, partnerships, and strategies that support business growth across the organization.
You will work closely with and provide direction to our Marketing Coordinator, who reports directly to this role. Together, you will ensure our marketing, communications, and brand initiatives support business development objectives, strengthen Archipelago’s market presence, and effectively communicate the value of our products and services to clients and stakeholders.
