What you'll be doing
Joining CIBC’s AI Infrastructure & ML Ops team as a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in advancing our enterprise MLOps capabilities. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, integrating enterprise security solutions to safeguard our AI and ML workloads. You’ll develop secure Databricks pipelines to support model training, validation, and deployment, embedding automated security checks and policy enforcement throughout. Collaborating closely with Security, ML Platform, and Infrastructure teams, you’ll ensure our pipelines meet regulatory and enterprise standards. You’ll also contribute to documentation, reference architectures, and reusable pipeline templates, driving reliability, observability, and performance in our ML operations.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
How you'll succeed
- Pipeline Development & Maintenance - Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for both application and MLOps workloads.

- Databricks Pipeline Management, Policy Enforcement & Guardrails - Develop and maintain Databricks pipelines to support secure ML model training, validation, and deployment. Implement policy-as-code and security guardrails to ensure consistent enforcement across all pipelines.
- Collaboration & Alignment - Work closely with Security, ML Platform, and Infrastructure teams to meet enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Reliability & Performance Improvement - Enhance pipeline reliability, observability, and performance through automation, monitoring, and best practices.
- Documentation & Templates - Contribute to documentation, reference architectures, and reusable pipeline templates for team-wide adoption.
