This Is A Founding Role
We're looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator or Architectural Technologist who wants more than a job.
Someone who wants to help build the estimating and preconstruction department from the ground up.
You'll work directly with the founder to build systems, improve processes, support growth, and help shape the future of the company.
The person we hire today could become the person leading this department tomorrow.
This is an opportunity to get in early, take ownership, and help build something special.
What You'll Do Phase 1 – Build The Foundation
During your first months, you'll help:
- Build estimating systems and workflows
- Develop bid tracking processes
- Implement software and operational systems
- Create estimating templates and standards
- Organize project information and documentation
- Improve how Regal operates
Phase 2 – Win Work
As opportunities grow, you'll take ownership of:
- Reviewing drawings and specifications
- Performing quantity takeoffs
- Preparing accurate and competitive estimates
- Identifying scope gaps, exclusions, and project risks
- Preparing proposals and bid submissions
- Supporting project handoff and preconstruction planning
Phase 3 – Build The Department
As the company grows, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Improve systems and processes
- Help train future team members
- Take on leadership responsibilities
- Play a key role in the future growth of Regal Painting

Required
- 3+ years of commercial estimating, architectural technology, preconstruction, or related experience involving construction drawings and specifications
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and construction estimates
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Preferred
- Architectural Technology Diploma
- Commercial estimating experience
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Planswift, Stack, or similar estimating software
- Experience reviewing commercial tender packages
- Commercial painting, coatings, drywall, or related construction experience
Compensation
Starting at $80,000+ based on experience, capability, and leadership potential.
