The Role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you are the operational nerve centre of our import/export pipeline. You work directly with shipping lines, customs brokers, warehouse staff, and customers — keeping shipments on track and customers informed at every step.
This is an individual contributor role. You will not manage a team, but you will be the key link across every function of the business. Strong communication and follow-through are essential.
What You'll Do
Shipment Operations
- Coordinate import/export shipments from/to Vietnam — tracking cargo from origin to delivery across Canada
- Prepare and submit customs documentation, including e-manifests and CBSA-required filings
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and carriers to resolve delays and optimize schedules
- Ensure every shipment is compliant with Canadian import regulations and company SOPs
Customer Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers (primarily Vietnamese-speaking) regarding shipment status, issues, and updates
- Handle inquiries and complaints professionally — keeping customers informed and confident throughout
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, understanding their recurring needs
Cross-Team Coordination
- Act as the connector between warehouse, customer service, and management — flagging issues early and facilitating smooth handoffs
- Track logistics KPIs and prepare regular performance reports for management
- Identify process bottlenecks and suggest practical improvements
Administrative & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and communications
- Ensure adherence to both international shipping standards and domestic Canadian regulations
What We're Looking For
Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or a related field
- Fluent in both Vietnamese and English (written and verbal) — our customer base is predominantly Vietnamese-speaking
- Canadian Permanent Resident or Citizen
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously under time pressure
- Proficient in standard office software (email, spreadsheets, documentation tools)
- Clear, professional communicator — comfortable handling difficult conversations with customers and partners
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with CBSA processes, customs brokerage, or Canadian import compliance
- Experience with Vietnamese freight carriers, ports, or forwarders
- Background in both B2B and retail/individual client environments
- Prior exposure to e-manifest platforms or logistics management software
Schedule & Location
Full-time, in-person at our Burnaby, BC office.
- Shift options: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (assigned based on operational needs)
- 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid meal break (7.5 paid hours per day)
- Monday to Saturday operations

- Starting at $40,000/year (commensurate with experience) — salary reviewed at end of 3-month probation period
