Based in Stratford, we are a technology-focused security and surveillance company with over 25 years of industry experience, specializing in alarm systems, access control, and home automation solutions. We are seeking a motivated Junior Security Systems Installer to join our team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary based on experience, a comprehensive benefits package, and a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summary
Working alongside experienced technicians, you will assist with the installation, testing, maintenance, and servicing of modern security and surveillance systems, alarm systems, access control, and integrated smart technology solutions at customer locations.
Our work spans, commercial, agricultural, industrial and residential environments, providing a diverse range of hands-on technical experience. A strong focus on health and safety, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Support on-site system setup and assist with basic configuration
- Install, test, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, sensors, and internet equipment.
- Work with low voltage electrical wiring and power tools to set up security infrastructure.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure precise installation of security devices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and installation processes.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately.
- Maintain organized work areas and documentation and contribute to the timely completion of projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations post-installation.
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards during all installation activities.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal record check (required)
- Experience or training in electrical work, low-voltage systems, or security system installation (asset)
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarm systems, sensors, or access control systems (asset)
- Experience working in agricultural and/or construction site environments (asset)
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn low-voltage wiring
- Ability to perform physical work and job site duties
- Working at heights and in confined spaces (crawl spaces/attics) (required)
- Reliable and punctual with strong attendance record
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow direction and work well in a team environment
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive attitude and strong commitment to safe work practices
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
