Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual (Mandarin/English) Purchase & Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic supply chain team. This role is integral to managing procurement activities, vendor relationships, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in communication data, ERP systems, and sourcing strategies to ensure seamless procurement processes and optimal inventory management. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing setting while leveraging their negotiation and vendor management expertise.

Responsibilities

Shipment tracking & coordination — keep our import shipments on schedule from departure through final delivery, working with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and domestic delivery partners
Freight quote management — request, compare, and recommend forwarder options for new bookings
Accessories & parts purchasing — source and order non-unit items (accessories, fittings, consumables) from approved vendors
Document handling — review and route shipping documents accurately and on time
Internal coordination — collect input from sales, accounting, and warehouse teams; follow up on open issues until resolved; provide regular status updates to management
Continuous improvement — identify recurring pain points and contribute to process improvements

Must-Have Qualifications

Fluent bilingual Mandarin and English (written and verbal) — you will communicate with overseas suppliers daily / 中英文邮件和电话沟通必须流利
2+ years of experience in import logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or supply chain coordination
Working knowledge of standard import documentation and Incoterms
Intermediate-to-advanced spreadsheet skills
Strong attention to detail and organized
Comfortable managing multiple open shipments in parallel
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Professional discretion with business information (NDA required)

Nice to Have

HVAC, appliance, or building-products industry experience
Existing relationships with Canadian drayage and warehouse providers
CIFFA certification or Canadian customs-related coursework
