The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2026 OPMA 419 LEC 01 (Predictive Model Business Analytics). Classes in the Fall 2026 semester run from September 1 to December 4, 2026. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between December 8 to December 18, 2026, if applicable.
OPMA 419 (Predictive Model Business Analytics)
LEC 01 Tuesday / Thursday 11:00am - 12:15pm
The calendar description of the course:
"Prediction and classification models with machine learning to identify patterns and the likelihood of future outcomes. Techniques may include visualization, cluster analysis, regression-based models, classification trees and neural networks."
Qualifications

Graduate degree (MBA, MSc, DBA or PhD) or work experience in a relevant field is required.

Previous post-secondary teaching experience of a quantitative course is preferred.

Affinity to teach advanced predictive techniques and statistics with the use of Siemens AI Studio (part of the RapidMiner portfolio), R and/or Python is required.

Demonstrate the ability to foster student engagement at the undergraduate level.

Located in or near Calgary for the in-person delivery of the course is required.
