Job Description

The Mail Distribution Clerk receives, distributes, and delivers all mail including regular, overnight packages, vendor/messenger deliveries, as well as interoffice mail.

Job Responsibilities

Retrieves incoming mail from local post office and brings outgoing mail to local post office daily.
Operates in a safe and efficient manner, documents usage, and coordinates maintenance of company vehicles.
Sorts incoming and interoffice mail by department and delivers the mail to respective departments.
Collects outgoing and interoffice mail from departments.
Sorts, weighs and applies postage to all outgoing mail utilizing both manual and sophisticated processing equipment.
Calculates special handling fees and enters such on documents.
Processes all internal & external distribution requirements as outlined by supervisor.
Scans all Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, USPS letters and packages and prepares for delivery.
Process outbound courier packages as needed.
Deliver priority items as per the recommended schedule.
Receive skids of paper and deliver paper to multi-function devices.
Receives building supplies and materials.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Previous Mail Room or Distribution Services experience preferred
Knowledge of mail room software, hardware, and other equipment
Ability to multitask
Excellent customer service skills
