DataDrill is currently seeking hard working and independent Field Technician.

The Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills:

1) Ability to work safely and efficiently with no supervision

2) Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and shift work activities as needed.

3) General electronic and computer knowledge is an asset

4) Enjoys working outdoors with various tools and equipment

5) Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot

6) Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

9) Minimum Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract

10) Comfortable in towing trailers

Job Description:

A DataDrill Field Technician will be responsible for the following tasks:

Rigging up various communication equipment (Satellite Internet, Cellular Repeater, Wireless Intercom, Wifi, IP Cameras, Laptop packages, Two-way radio & Portable towers) in remote locations

Providing exceptional customer service to clients while on site, maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times

Driving in all weather conditions on oil and gas roads (dirt/ice/mud)

Working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, sun, wind)

Cleaning and repairing various communication equipment, replacing hardware components and accessories

Administrative work such as writing field tickets and filling out timesheets

Safety tickets are an asset (H2S, 1st Aid, Fall Arrest, etc.)

Work schedule of 15 days on/6 days off, travelling in B.C/Alberta/Saskatchewan

On-call 24/7 while on shift

You will also benefit from the support of our technical and logistical teams based at head office who will assist you with any issues that arise while out in the field.

Please note that this role is based in Calgary, AB, but requires travel throughout BC, AB & Sk. All travel and accommodation expenses are covered by DataDrill.
