Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to become an integral part of our team. With Cressey’s dedication to quality top of mind, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of our properties, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
Install, repair and maintain commercial and residential plumbing fixtures and systems.
Test facilities for leaks.
Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.).
Ensure that local and provincial safety regulations are met.
Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and other maintenance workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship.
Proven Plumbing experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work together as part of a team alongside other technicians (e.g. Building Maintenance Workers, Labourers etc.).
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects.
Great communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Valid plumbing and gas fitting tickets.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required.
Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
