Reliable is seeking a Dispatch Manager in Surrey, BC to support our continued growth and become a key contributor to our expanding team. The ideal candidate appreciates a challenging and fast-paced environment and has the required ambition to support significant growth. The ideal candidate must also be both personable and professional.

The position includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Dispatch & Operational Coordination

Oversee dispatch operations to ensure efficient scheduling, high driver availability, and optimal equipment deployment.
Maintain service delivery standards, troubleshoot operational challenges, and promote seamless coordination between dispatchers and drivers.
Ensure all dispatch activities align with the company’s safety and customer service expectations.

Leadership & Culture

Lead and supervise the dispatch team, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development of team members.
Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives in dispatch functions.

Safety & Compliance

Promote a positive safety culture by leading by example and enforcing adherence to all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with all internal control requirements and applicable transportation legislation.

Communication & Representation

Maintain clear, professional, and effective communication across departments and with external stakeholders.
Collaborate with management to report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Represent Reliable with professionalism to staff, customers, vendors, and the broader community.

Qualifications:

Three or more years of experience with managing a dispatch office
Certification, diploma, degree, or other further education in a relevant field would be a plus
This is an on-site position, but experience in managing a mixed work environment (in-office and off-office) is a valuable asset
