We are currently seeking Casual on Call Security Guards to support operations within the Calgary Police Service (CPS) District Offices. This respected, high-responsibility role is essential in ensuring the safety, security, and operational continuity of CPS facilities.

About the Role

As a District Guard, you are a key frontline representative of Commissionaires. You will work closely with CPS staff to maintain safe, secure, and efficient operations, while supporting law enforcement in a professional and collaborative environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in structured environments, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and are committed to public safety.

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Alberta Security License
Valid First Aid certification
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Valid PAL (Possession Acquisition License)
Residency in Canada for minimum 3 consecutive years (required for enhanced security clearance)
Strong communication skills and professional, customer-focused attitude
Ability to work independently with sound judgment and situational awareness
Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency)

Physical Requirements

Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols in all weather conditions
Climb stairs, lift up to 30 lbs., and maintain focus on security systems
Stand or sit for extended periods as required
Respond promptly to radio and telephone communications

Working Conditions

4-on / 4-off schedule, 12-hour day & night shifts (06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00)
