Minimum Requirements:

Two years of refinery experience
4th Class Power Engineering certificate, 3rd or 2nd is preferred
Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Attach your Power Engineering operating tickets with your application

Responsibilities:

Learn and adhere to the refinery’s management systems
Work on a crew covering a qualified post within an operating unit
Operate the refinery equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established practices, procedures and operating guidelines
Perform preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting to maintain process equipment
Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations
Review and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality

Location and other Key details:

You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake site in Fort McMurray within the Primary Upgrader
The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off – 12-hour shifts
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
