Full job description

PURPOSE

Under general supervision, performs complex manual and clerical duties related to the shipment, receipt, storage and movement of material, supplies, equipment and finished product while giving instruction and leadership to others by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understands and performs this job within the scope of the Karcher Quality Policy by following specified processes, procedures and work instructions when performing assigned tasks and acting on quality problems by utilizing the corrective & preventative action process.

Oversee various areas of the receiving department, to include unloading containers, receiving product and stocking of product.

Inspects packages and verifies delivery receipts by verifying items and quantities received matches packing slip and purchase order and notifying appropriate personnel immediately of any discrepancies.

Operates fork trucks or pallet jacks to unload or move materials and products. Also uses small handheld tools to include handheld scanner.

Monitors daily metrics for assigned areas of responsibility and provides detailed explanations as needed. This is done on a daily basis.

Maintain files and documentation.

Places material/supplies on shelves, racks or in specified floor locations form pallets, trays and racks.

May reject damaged, excess, or misdirected goods.

Uses computer programs Trakland, SAP and internet.

Directs received items to appropriate location or person.

Research and resolve any GR/IR issues within or below specified time frames.

Research and resolve any discrepancies within designated time frame.

Provide daily leadership and instruction to assigned employees.

Communicate with Warehouse Manager on any system issues that are encountered.

Ensure new employees are trained according to company policies and procedures.

Helps out team with daily activities when needed to ensure receipts are processed and items stocked in a timely manner.

Ensure that team members are following all policies, procedures, and work instructions when performing assigned tasks.

Displays a positive attitude and maintains a positive working relationship will all departments and encouraging teamwork among all employees.

Monitors and maintains all receiving supplies.

Should disciplinary action be required for any employee assigned to department, contact Warehouse Manager immediately.

Provide daily leadership and instructions to employees to ensure adequate help in all areas of the receiving department.

Maintain excellent attendance.

Interact well with coworkers and assigned employees by treating all in a fair and consistant manner with dignity and respect.

Assist in developing a safety conscious team and ensures safety practices are followed.

Assist Warehouse Manager and Quality Manager in developing efficient processes to ensure quality receipts.

Leads team in meeting established goals and targets set out for the department.

Maintain excellent communication with Managers and fellow team leads.

Assist warehouse Manager in timekeeping practices and time off requests.

Performs other tasks assigned
