The Opportunity:
KidsAbility is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to play a key role in supporting and advancing our hybrid technology environment. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Solutions, this position is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and automation solutions. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, the Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will leverage expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, enterprise infrastructure, and security technologies to ensure the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of critical systems while contributing to the organization’s digital transformation journey.
Your Impact:

Administer, support, and optimize Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Data Lakehouse, Power Apps, and related cloud services.

Manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, backup, disaster recovery, servers, and virtualization platforms.

Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, capacity, and overall infrastructure health.

Maintain and enhance enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and connectivity services.

Implement and support cybersecurity best practices, identity and access management, security controls, and compliance requirements.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure, network, and security issues.

Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell and other tools to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Lead and support cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Evaluate and support the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled and cloud-based solutions.

Serve as the technical escalation point for advanced cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security challenges.

Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver technology projects and strategic initiatives.

Maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures while providing mentorship and knowledge sharing across the ITS team.
Your Experience and Expertise:
To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
In addition, you will bring:

3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments.

Experience administering Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Warehouse, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft 365.

Experience with networking, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity technologies.

Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues within multi-site organizations.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.

Expertise with Windows Server and virtualization platforms.

Experience supporting enterprise networking and firewall technologies.
-
Knowledge of endpoint management and device administration.
-
Experience implementing and supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
-
Understanding of cybersecurity and identity management best practices.
-
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion while adhering to privacy, security, and organizational policies.

A self-motivated approach and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A customer-focused mindset with the ability to resolve concerns efficiently.
As a multi-site organization, a valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required to support work across multiple locations as needed.
