Overview

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Guard and become the frontline protector of our facilities, assets, and personnel. In this vital role, you will ensure a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, controlling access points, and conducting surveillance activities. Your proactive approach and keen attention to detail will help prevent loss, deter unauthorized access, and respond swiftly to incidents. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a secure workplace while developing valuable skills in security operations.

Duties

Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to oversee activity across the premises continuously.
Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, verifying identification and issuing passes as needed.
Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders when necessary.
Perform loss prevention measures by inspecting for theft or vandalism and reporting any irregularities immediately.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Enforce company policies and safety protocols to uphold a secure environment for all personnel.

Requirements

Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation.
Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail in identifying potential threats or hazards.
Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
Physical fitness to perform patrols that may include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods.
Must have a valid security license .
First aid certificate is an asset.
