Job Description
Our team has a focus in municipal water / wastewater, electrical utilities, industrial facilities, and renewable energy sectors as well as strategic pursuits in transit, transportation and mining. With over 25 years of experience spanning across all of our locations, we provide Electrical Engineering, Control System Design, System Integration, IT/OT, IoT services, and consulting to our client base across North America.
We are currently looking for a Project Manager to support our continued growth in the Vancouver region. The role comes with the opportunity for significant growth within the organization as the team expands. If you have a demonstrated background in the Industrial / Critical Infrastructure Automation space with a growth mindset, we have a technical leadership opportunity for you. This role is based in our Vancouver office, on a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively manage all elements of automation, controls, and IT/OT projects including budget, schedule, and scope to deliver for our clients

Develop proposals with a multidiscipline team and support business development activities

Build and mentor a team of automation professionals consisting of system integrators and I&C designers. Train new hires to support various PLC and SCADA platforms. Support their growth by identifying training plan needs and the opportunities to enhance their skillsets

Provide technical direction to your team and others assigned to your projects to deliver the needs of the client

Work with our network professionals to support your client base with IT/OT services including cybersecurity

Work within a multi-discipline environment supporting process engineers, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers to deliver large scale upgrades to our clients

Directly manage your local client base to stay in tune with client needs and respond to their needs

Cross sell other services outside of automation to your client base

Support the local client base through the delivery of capital upgrades as well as maintenance services
-
Support your manager with labour forecasting to deliver ongoing projects and future hiring needs

Respond to requests for proposals and tenders through the development of cost estimates and proposals
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study such as Engineering or Computer Science or 3 year college level electrical technology program, or Automation program
-
License to practice Engineering in British Columbia (P.Eng designation or eligibility) is considered an asset
-
10 years’ progressive hands on experience programming PLCs and SCADA systems is required.

5 + years Management experience on top of the hands on experience
-
Demonstrated previous project management experience is an asset

Understanding the design documentation process and how engineered drawings and specifications go hand in hand for owners to procure contractors is required

Able to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously

A hands on background in PLC/DCS programming for various vendors such as Rockwell, Emmerson (RX3i) is an asset.

HMI/SCADA experience with various platforms such as AVEVA (InTouch or System Platform), iFIX, Ignition, and Rockwell FactoryTalk is an asset.
