QA Lab Assistant ~ (12-month contract)

Previous experience writing technical reports & creating data sheets
Ability to read technical drawings & previous knowledge with measurement instruments would be an asset
Computer and MS Office skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Time management & organizational abilities
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

What does a QA Lab Assistant do?

Perform qualification tests per established QTP and record measurements test results, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing
Generate test reports as required
Failure analysis, investigation, and reporting
Respond to root cause corrective actions as a participating team member
Other responsibilities as required to support the Quality Test Lab

What do you bring to the table

Post secondary student in a technical program (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) Must abide by all Health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices
Maintain good working relationships with others.
Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, project teams and relevant job training

Desired to Have:

Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
Statistical and quantitative methods
Reliability and risk management knowledge
Project Management skills
Good soldering skills, testing and failure analysis experience
Familiarity with test fixture and small tooling design principles to facilitate testing processes
Basic understanding of electrical circuits
