POSITION: House Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Supervisor

STATUS OF POSITION: Full-Time Seasonal

JOB HIGHLIGHTS: Shift Work, Team Environment, Shuttle Service, Staff Housing Available

POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Attendant role is an integral position within Deerhurst. This role focuses on ensuring guest requests are delivered in a timely manner, and Hosts and products are moved as needed to each building on the resort.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides daily stocking of all housekeeping storage areas
Laundry management can include, but is not limited to: Pick-up Service, Laundry Sorting, Offloading Clean Linen, Washing as Needed, and Packing Orders
Moves Hosts around the resort as needed
Communicate with multiple departments via radio
Maintains equipment in a clean and proper working order, reporting any concerns
Ensures the well-being of our guests and Hosts by being alert to and reporting potential hazards
Models all Deerhurst Resort Standards while caring for guests, co-workers and owners
Responds to direct guest requests in an empathetic and timely manner
Ensures communication of maintenance issues in a timely manner
Completes all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Guest oriented with a sincere, helpful, caring and friendly personality
Able to take initiative within given guidelines
Pays precise attention to detail, order and cleanliness
Time and priority management
Works well under pressure
Maintains flexibility and professionalism at all times

PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF POSITION (include but are not limited to):

Able to move up and down stairs frequently
Physically fit and able to bend, push, pull and lift continuously throughout the day
Able to occasionally work outdoors in seasonal temperatures
Able to lift, bend, carry and move constantly 11 to 40 pounds, frequently 50 to 75 pounds

Visa Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Canada
