Medicine Hat College’s Yuill School of Health & Community Services invites applications for a Part-Time Temporary instructor position in our Practical Nursing Diploma Program at our Brooks Campus.

A little about the role:

As a member of the faculty, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lab coach, laboratory and clinical instruction within a program-approved curriculum. This role supports student success through evidence-informed teaching practices, meaningful assessment and feedback, and active participation in program development and continuous quality improvement processes.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to learner-centred education, interprofessional collaboration, and preparation of graduates for safe, competent, and ethical nursing practice.

Details:

As a successful applicant you'll have:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred) or Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma is required
Current registration (or eligibility) with an Alberta nursing regulatory body (CHLA or CRNA) as a member in good standing
5 years of full-time nursing practice
Strong clinical expertise across relevant practice settings
An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality
Strong communication skills and computer literacy
Previous experience in clinical, laboratory, or classroom instruction is preferred
Additional assets include certification in simulation-based education and experience in curriculum development and program evaluation
