Full job description

As Canada's largest gold-producing open-pit mine, Agnico Eagle's Detour Lake Mine offers the opportunity to work at one of the country's premier mining operations. We are currently looking for Light-Duty Mechanics for the mobile maintenance department.

The main responsibilities include:

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on light-duty vehicles;
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues efficiently and safely;
Complete maintenance tasks according to company standards and procedures;
Maintain accurate documentation and work orders;
Follow all site safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment;
Support the maintenance team with various tasks as required;
Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Have professional diploma in Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Truck and Coach Mechanic;
Have an Ontario Provincial/Interprovincial Red Seal Automotive Service Technician (310S) certification, considered an asset;
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on mobile equipment in a mining or industrial environment;
Have experience in the mining industry, considered an asset;
Show strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills;
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices;
Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills;
Experience working at a remote work site is considered an asset;
Ability to work on a rotating schedule.

Working conditions and benefits:

Temporary full-time position;
Hourly salary between $40.00 and $55.00,depending on experience and qualifications;
Time and half paid after 40 hours work per week and for work done outside the normal schedule;
14 days on / 14 days off rotation;
12-hour shifts (day and night shifts depending on operational needs);
Fly-in / Fly-out work schedule;
Transportation to and from the mine site provided (charter flight and/or ground transportation depending on employee's location);
Camp accommodations and meals provided;
Work clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided;
