Dispatcher – Full Time

If so, then Prairie Bus Lines may have the perfect opportunity for you!

Prairie Bus Lines is seeking multiple dynamic and reliable Dispatchers to join our team in Red Deer. In this role, the Dispatcher plays an important part in supporting daily operations by coordinating driver schedules, providing professional telephone and radio communication, and assisting with various administrative duties.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled within the operating windows from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications:

Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous approach when interacting with the public and co-workers
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively and respond with empathy and professionalism
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Good knowledge and understanding of company policies, procedures and basic bus operating practices
Strong map reading skills with familiarity of the Red Deer area, including major road systems and key locations
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Clear criminal record

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate driver assignments and ensure routes are covered in a fair, consistent, and efficient manner
Ensure drivers and staff are treated fairly and consistently in accordance with the Driver Handbook and company policies and procedures
Respond to driver and public inquiries in a professional manner and assist in resolving operational concerns
maintain clear and professional communication with drivers through telephone and radio dispatch systems
Ensure all required documentation, reports, and operational requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Perform general administrative and office duties as required

Pay: From $22.24 per hour
