Driver's Helpers/Swampers

Springhill Lumber (Wholesale) Ltd. is looking for full-time Driver’s Helpers/Swampers. These positions are from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.

Springhill Lumber is a locally owned and operated lumber and building supply company committed to providing quality products and customer service. We value teamwork, safety, and employee development.

The successful candidate will receive full company-paid benefits after 90 days.

Rate of Pay: Depending on Experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure orders are accurately filled, counted, loaded, unloaded, and secured following all safe work requirements.
Completes required paperwork and tally product changes as needed.
Load and unload various building materials including rooftop shingles, drywall, siding, lumber, and other products.
Be professional, courteous, and punctual, with a focus on customer service.
Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Valid Class 5(5F) driver’s licence required.
Obtain and maintain a current driver’s abstract (issued within the last 3 months).
Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis.
Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Forklift certification is considered an asset; in-house training available.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Dependable, punctual, friendly, and organized, with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance.
Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year-round.
These positions involve heavy lifting and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Safety boots and safety equipment are required.
Fast-paced, high-volume environment.
