Mobile App Developer (MD-DNMA-AA004N)
DESCRIPTION: Nortak Software is currently seeking mobile app developers with the following qualifications:
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience performing software development activities including designing software applications and solutions; developing software applications; testing software applications; deploying software applications; maintaining and enhancing existing software applications; and using version control systems such as Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, or equivalent source code repositories
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing and/or maintaining mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience integrating, implementing, configuring, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or enhancing software components and services within application environments
- Professional experience performing mobile application release and deployment activities demonstrated through a minimum of 2 mobile application projects, contracts, or employment assignments
- Demonstrated professional experience successfully publishing, updating, or deploying at least 1 mobile application release through either the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, or an enterprise mobile application distribution platform
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience on a minimum of 2 projects, contracts, or employment assignments applying secure software development practices, implementing security controls, protecting sensitive information, and/or supporting privacy and security compliance requirements within software application environments
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience on a minimum of 2 projects personally preparing, authoring, maintaining, or updating technical documentation in support of software development, application maintenance, system implementation, system integration, testing, deployment, operational support, or knowledge-transfer activities
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant area of study from a recognized academic institution
RATED CRITERIA:
- A valid professional certification relevant to application development including Google Associate Android Developer, Apple App Development with Swift Certification, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associated, Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE Programmer, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Professional Scrum Developer (PSD), ISTQB Certified Tester (for mobile QA)
- General IT experience including Software development and programming; Systems analysis; Software testing and quality assurance; Technical support and help desk services; Database development and administration; Application maintenance and support; and Other IT-related functions
- Mobile application development experience including Native Android development using Java and/or Kotlin; Native iOS development using Swift and/or Objective-C; Cross-platform mobile application development using frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin; Development, maintenance or modernisation of JavaScript-based and hybrid mobile applications using technologies such as Ember, Angular, React, Vue, Cordova, Ionic or Capacitor; Mobile user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) implementation; Integration of mobile applications with APIs, web services, or back-end systems; Deployment and maintenance of applications through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store; and Mobile application troubleshooting, debugging, testing, performance tuning, and optimization
- Experience with iOS and Android OS updates including Updating mobile applications following major iOS and/or Android operating system releases; Performing software development kit (SDK), framework, and library updates; Implementing user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) modifications required by operating system changes; Updating, replacing, or refactoring APIs affected by operating system updates; Maintaining backward compatibility with supported device and operating system versions; Conducting regression, compatibility, and functional testing following operating system updates; and Diagnosing and resolving operating system-specific performance, security, stability, or compatibility issues
- Demonstrated experience applying secure coding practices, implementing privacy and data protection requirements, or working on projects with significant security and privacy considerations
- Demonstrated experience preparing, managing, and submitting mobile application releases to the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store
- Demonstrated experience integrating, maintaining, or supporting REST APIs, mobile SDKs, and third-party libraries within mobile applications
- Demonstrated experience preparing technical documentation, including but not limited to architecture diagrams, technical specifications, release notes, and build/deployment instructions
- Demonstrated experience developing and/or maintaining applications that rely on local data storage and need to operate with limited or intermittent connectivity
- Demonstrated experience with JavaScript-based and hybrid mobile development
