Job Summary

At Shalom Residences, we're passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive community where adults living with intellectual disabilities can thrive. Behind that mission, is a dedicated team that keeps our organization running smoothly every day. We are looking for a Finance and Administrative Coordinator to join the staff team in Winnipeg. This role is ideal for someone with a warm and welcoming approach who enjoys bringing organization to an office setting, is comfortable working with financial and administrative processes, and takes pride in supporting others. As a trusted administrative partner to the Executive Director, you'll also play an important role in bookkeeping, payroll coordination, donor administration, office operations and a key support to staff and residents.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Executive Director with day-to-day administration and coordination.
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and bookkeeping transactions
Coordinate payroll administration and maintain payroll records.
Process donations, charitable tax receipts and donor correspondence.
Manage reception, phones, email and general office communications.
Maintain organized records and office administration systems.
Coordinate office supplies, purchasing and general office operations.
Support employee onboarding, meetings and organizational events.
Build positive relationships with residents, staff, families, and community partners.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Bookkeeping, Accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with bookkeeping and general office administration.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Sage50 experience is an asset.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience working in a non-profit organization is an asset
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to complete Criminal Record and Adult Abuse Registry checks.
