Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing and inspecting materials, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to efficient manufacturing operations. Prior experience in heavy equipment operation or manufacturing is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Operate loader equipment and assist with material handling tasks
- Use excavators and forklifts to move materials safely within the facility
- Sort, inspect, and organize incoming and outgoing materials according to quality standards
- Perform heavy lifting as required to load or unload materials
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas to ensure safety and compliance
- Assist in cleaning equipment and workspaces regularly to uphold sanitation standards
- Follow safety protocols when operating heavy equipment and handling materials
- Support team efforts in maintaining efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing process
Experience
- Prior experience with loader operation, excavators, forklifts, or heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Previous experience working with heavy machinery or in a warehouse setting is beneficial but not required
