Job Description:
Reporting to Planning Manager the the Technical Records Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical records, including records within the company’s maintenance tracking programs, Corridor and CAMP. The role supports project managers by ensuring technical records related to airframes, engines and component work scopes are complete, accurate and maintained in accordance with applicable regulatory, company and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the project work scopes and ensure maintenance records are originated and maintained with respect to life, TBO items, airworthiness directives, and other special inspections.
- Monitor and maintain records for weight and balance amendments, equipment lists, loading data, and electrical load analysis.
- Ensure that all particulars of the maintenance functions have been entered in the appropriate aircraft logbooks and component history sheets and have been properly certified by a person holding the appropriate authority.
- Prepare aircraft technical records as required for the applicable airworthiness authority for the importation and exportation of aircraft.
- Maintain the technical files as they relate to aircraft, engines, and components.
- Support the company’s goals, values, policies and safety culture by working in a vigilant, respectful and professional manner.
- Generate tracking/status reports as required.
- Provide technical research support to the maintenance department and other internal stakeholders as required.
- Ensure that all Component History Records (CHR) are accurate and reflect what is recorded on the company utilized maintenance tracking systems.
- Adhere to company policies, safety procedures and the code of conduct to help maintain a safe, respectful and professional work environment.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned to support departmental operations, consistent with the role and applicable requirements.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of experience working with aviation technical records, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Good understanding of applicable aviation regulatory requirements.
- Good working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of AW139 and Bell 412EP maintenance programs and technical records is considered an asset.
- Helicopter commercial and/or contract experience is considered an asset.
- Comfortable working in office and hangar environments, with appropriate safety practices and reasonable accommodation where required.
- Ability to work overtime when required, in accordance with applicable federal labour standards and company policy.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required Transport Canada aviation security clearance or other role-related clearance, where applicable.
- Working knowledge of aviation software, including Corridor and CAMP, is preferred.
