Full job description

West Fraser Electro/Mechanical Ltd. is a multi-faceted provider of services for and distribution of the critical equipment that supports continuous production industries. We work from a 28,000 square foot facility in Prince George, British Columbia, and offer in-shop and field repairs, maintenance, and technical services, as well as direct sales and replacements of industrial electric motors, generators, and components.

We are currently looking for a Handyperson to join our team join our team and grow with our business.

What you will be doing:

Some of the main responsibilities will include:
Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks (training provided)
Assist in loading and unloading of equipment
Perform preparation work and assist in repair of equipment
Perform all work in compliance with the quality manual
Performing assigned tasks safely and efficiently
Operate equipment, including but not limited to: grinders, cranes, forklifts, dip tanks, various handheld power and non-power tools
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks

What we need from you:

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Ability to multitask and manage tasks, based on time requirements
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset
Willingness to learn and work
Good Communication
Steel Toe Boots
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
