About the Role
We are hiring for 2 Product Engineering roles to act as EnerLink’s internal technical resource for product standards, quality, technical assessments, documentation, and new product development support.
This position may be a strong fit for either a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technologist or a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer. Please note we cannot facilitate the progression of an EIT to P.Eng.
This role is responsible for helping ensure EnerLink’s products are technically sound, compliant with applicable standards, properly documented, and supported by strong quality assurance and quality control processes. The successful candidate will work closely with product, vendor, sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to provide practical technical guidance and help resolve product-related issues.
This is a high-trust, detail-oriented technical role for someone who is organized, analytical, practical, and confident making recommendations based on testing, documentation, engineering principles, and product requirements.
The right person will enjoy problem solving, reviewing product details, improving documentation, working with vendors, supporting quality systems, and helping build stronger technical processes as the company grows.
This role reports to the Product and Vendor Manager.
This is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday. Candidate must work in person; this is not a remote position.
Compensation
Salary range relates to the fit, capability, and experience of the successful candidate.
We are also implementing a bonus structure in 2026 so our team can share in the benefits of our aggressive growth trajectory. This bonus will be in addition to the salary range listed.
What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain alignment with applicable industry standards, including CSA, IEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards
- Review materials, components, and product designs to assess compliance, suitability, and performance
- Lead and support certification and regulatory compliance efforts when required
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams on standards, feasibility, application, and product requirements
- Maintain and communicate standards requirements across product development and documentation
- Own, develop, and continuously improve QA/QC processes across the product lifecycle
- Define and enforce quality standards, procedures, and acceptance criteria
- Conduct and oversee production-level testing, including factory batch testing, internal inspections, and third-party validation
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and reliability
- Monitor and report on vendor quality performance, including QA/QC KPIs and trends
- Lead failure analysis investigations
- Diagnose product issues using testing, data analysis, and engineering principles
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans
- Author and publish technical service bulletins and internal reports
- Provide timely technical support to resolve product and production issues
- Work with internal and external experts when additional technical support is required
- Lead technical discussions with product vendors in coordination with the International Operations Representative
- Own the creation, review, and maintenance of engineering and sales drawings
- Establish and enforce drawing standards, revision control, and documentation best practices
- Ensure drawings meet internal quality, clarity, and compliance requirements
- Manage document lifecycle, including version control and release processes
- Support cross-functional teams with accurate and timely documentation creation and updates
- Develop and own complete production packages, including BOMs, work instructions, and technical specifications
- Support new product development through prototyping, sampling, and validation testing
- Support marketing efforts by clarifying relevant standards applied to new products
- Help ensure production readiness by coordinating technical requirements between engineering, sales, and vendors

Qualifications
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma from a recognized technical institute
- or
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineer designation, either P.Eng. or recent EIT graduate.
We cannot facilitate progression from EIT to P.Eng.
Additional qualifications and assets:
- Certified Engineering Technologist designation is an asset, but not required
- Product engineering, quality assurance, technical documentation, product development, manufacturing, electrical utility, industrial, or related technical experience is preferred
- Experience with CSA, IEC, IEEE, or other industry standards is an asset, but not required; we are willing to train the right person
- Experience with QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, corrective actions, or vendor quality is an asset, but not required; we are willing to train the right person
- Experience with product drawings, technical documentation, BOMs, work instructions, or revision control is an asset
- Experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis, or technical service bulletins is preferred
- Experience supporting new product development, prototyping, sampling, or validation testing is an asset, but not required
- We are willing to train the right person if they are technically minded, organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and other business software
- Comfortable reviewing technical documents, drawings, specifications, and test results
- Comfortable or interested in leveraging AI and business systems to improve workflow, documentation, and efficiency
- Experience in a small, entrepreneurial, or growing business is preferred, but not required
