Join Avalon Health Clinic as a founding Internal Medicine Physician and help shape a modern outpatient specialist practice in Saanich, Greater Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Avalon is being built as a multidisciplinary clinic where physicians, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation clinicians, allied health professionals, and administrative team members work together in one coordinated system. Our culture is grounded in thoughtful medicine, collegiality, professional respect, clear communication, and a shared commitment to making healthcare easier to navigate for both patients and clinicians. Designed from the ground up with physicians in mind, Avalon combines a fully integrated electronic medical record, centralized billing, dedicated administrative and MOA support, flexible scheduling, thoughtfully designed clinical space, and coordinated clinical pathways to reduce administrative burden and support high-quality patient care.

Internal Medicine will play a key role in Avalon's model, supporting adults with complex medical needs, chronic disease, diagnostic questions, perioperative optimization, recovery planning, and coordinated care across primary care, rehabilitation, and specialty services. You will work alongside family physicians, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, counsellors, rehabilitation clinicians, and other specialists within one connected care experience. This team-based model supports timely consultation, longitudinal relationships where appropriate, interdisciplinary case discussions, shared care planning, one chart and care plan, and measurable quality improvement while preserving physician autonomy and professional flexibility. This position is based exclusively in our outpatient clinic and is not affiliated with the Health Authority. As such, hospital privileges are not included with this role.

Avalon will be located in Saanich, an established and highly livable community within Greater Victoria on southern Vancouver Island. Saanich offers the balance many physicians and families look for: access to the amenities of the British Columbia capital region, proximity to downtown Victoria, universities, restaurants, arts and culture, and easy connections to parks, trails, beaches, cycling routes, oceanfront, and year-round outdoor recreation. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful specialist practice in a collaborative, forward-thinking clinic while living and working in one of Canada's most desirable coastal regions.
