Heavy Metal is currently accepting resumes for an Account Manager for our Rental Division to provide services in the Alberta Oil Sands (Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo Region). The Job:
- Rotation: 7-on/7-off
- Location: Fort Hills Mine Site (Wood Buffalo Region/Alberta Oil Sands)
- Transportation: Fly-in/Fly-out from Calgary or Edmonton
- Accommodations: Camp Setting
The Account Manager in this role will work a 7-on/7-off rotation based out of the Wood Buffalo Region. The manager will be expected to work a minimum of 8 hours per day. Travel to and from the region, if not local, will be supported by Heavy Metal.
The ideal Manager will create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers as well as develop new business from existing clients, aspiring to profitably manage and sustainably grow the business with selected clients. This is an extremely fast-paced, demanding environment that requires exceptional time management and prioritization skills. One must be resourceful and solution-focused to address the challenges that come with the remoteness of the worksite.
It is also important to note we are seeking a manager:
- With superior safety, client and team focus who is responsible for business development and onsite management
- Will be a strong self-starter who is also an enthusiastic team player to add to our team
- With a good understanding of mine sites and their operations, solutions for rental equipment, the ability to analyze fleet performance and be savvy in Microsoft Excel
- Will be motivated, committed and wants to grow with us
As an Account Manager YOU will:
- Be the primary lead on site safety requirements
- Project fleet usage
- Forecast additional business opportunities
- Review and ensure compliance with clients and contracts
- Manage onsite Purchase Orders
- Review Accounts Receivables
- Ensure client/customer satisfaction
- Liaise with Maintenance Services

What We're Looking For:
- Qualification in Business Management or Business Administration
- Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably in mining, resources, or mobile equipment sector with strong technical background
- Proven track record of managing customer expectations along with expectations of the company
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Safety oriented personality
- Strong ethics and compliance to rules and regulations
- High level communication skills, both oral and written
- Innovative and commercially savvy outlook
- Extremely strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization as well as with internal and external stakeholders
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
