We are looking to hire Red Seal Journeyperson Electricians for Kitimat, BC working on the LNGC project, on-site.

Role: Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician

Location: Kitimat, BC

Shift: 5 days on, 2 days off. Night shift as required.

Overtime: as required

Pre-Employment Condition: Pre-employment D&A test required

Additional Details: Relocation to Kitimat expected after 3 months. Relocation assistance provided for the right candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Install and maintain EMT piping systems, electronic heat trace, batteries, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, and VFD’s.
-
Ensure proper execution of electrical lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
-
Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
-
Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.

Understand and inter-operate the most current Canadian electrical code book and exercise the rules when applicable.

Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.

Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.

Responsible for all administrative, material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.

Other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-
Electrical Journeyperson.
-
A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
-
Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.

Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.

Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
