Full job description

Position SummaryThe Bartender / Server is responsible for providing outstanding guest service while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. This position includes serving food and beverages, preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining a clean and organized work area, handling cash and POS transactions, and working as part of a team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Make menu recommendations and answer guest questions.
Ensure guests receive prompt, attentive service throughout their visit.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Build relationships with regular guests and create a positive dining experience.

Bartending Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards.
Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service.
Maintain knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail offerings.
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all AGCO regulations.
Keep bar stocked, organized, and clean throughout the shift.

Serving Duties

Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
Process payments accurately through the POS system.
Complete opening, changeover, and closing duties as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness of dining room, patio, washrooms, and service areas.

Cash Handling & Accountability

Complete accurate cash-outs at the end of each shift.
Ensure debit, Visa, and Mastercard totals match terminal reports.
Properly document and attach all voids, discounts, and comps to cash-outs.
Follow all company cash handling procedures.

Teamwork & Operations

Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts.
Assist with stocking, cleaning, and side duties.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and fellow team members.
Support coworkers during busy periods.
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Smart Serve Certification (required).
Previous bartending or serving experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
