JOB SUMMARY:
As a Finance Administrative Assistant in Accounts Receivable, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial transactions related to incoming payments. This will include processing incoming payments and ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data. You will also handle customer rebates and commissions, back-up reception duties and assist the Credit Manager in maintaining detailed records of accounts receivable processing activities where required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Account Management:-
Responsible for the accurate and timely posting of cash receipts to apply payment to customer accounts.

Make decisions on basic discounts based on guidelines provided and/or seek input from Credit Manager for judgmental scenarios.

Identify short payments and debit memos left owing.
Financial Operations:

Enter, verify, and post inter-company invoices and identify any discrepancies.

Prepare and post the monthly, quarterly and annual rebates as well as monthly commissions.
Administrative Support:

Support Finance team with general financial, operational, and administrative duties.

Provide back-up and overflow support to Reception, including answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate people, ensuring an ongoing positive experience.
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, applicable legislation, regulations, statutes, and departmental policies/procedures/practices and operational guidelines.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, that are in accordance with job responsibilities and/or necessary departmental or corporate objectives.

High School Diploma

Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar financial role.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and collection regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.

Knowledge of well or plumbing products would be an asset.
