The Opportunity: Sault College is seeking a part-time Professor to teach Advanced Web Applications in the Computer Programming program.

What you need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field and/or 3–5 years of professional software development experience, including modern web application development
Demonstrated experience developing and deploying full-stack web applications.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, or equivalent technologies.
Experience with server-side development using technologies such as Node.js, Java, PHP, or similar platforms.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services, including authentication mechanisms.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Understanding of web application security principles and secure coding practices.
Experience using version control systems, particularly Git.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to learners with varying levels of experience.

This part-time teaching position is required for up to 5 hours per week to start in the upcoming Fall 2026 semester. Salary is $103.08/hr - $178.82/hr. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
