Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing and inspecting materials, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to efficient manufacturing operations. Prior experience in heavy equipment operation or manufacturing is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Operate loader equipment and assist with material handling tasks
Use excavators and forklifts to move materials safely within the facility
Sort, inspect, and organize incoming and outgoing materials according to quality standards
Perform heavy lifting as required to load or unload materials
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas to ensure safety and compliance
Assist in cleaning equipment and workspaces regularly to uphold sanitation standards
Follow safety protocols when operating heavy equipment and handling materials
Support team efforts in maintaining efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing process

Experience

Prior experience with loader operation, excavators, forklifts, or heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures is a plus
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
Previous experience working with heavy machinery or in a warehouse setting is beneficial but not required
