Position Summary
As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to all phases of project delivery, including structural analysis, design, detailing, coordination, and construction review for commercial and industrial structures. Our projects primarily comprise of precast concrete wall panels, steel roof systems, and interior structures.
This position is suited to engineers at various stages of their careers. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering practical engineering solutions while building lasting client relationships.
Education and Professional Requirements:
- BSc in Civil Engineering at a Canadian Accredited University with a structural engineering focus.
- Registered Structural EIT or P.Eng. with EGBC or APEGA.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through courses such as SEABC or equivalent.
- Strong knowledgeable of Part 4 of the BC Building code
- Familiarity with current steel, wood, concrete design codes
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, Etabs, Woodworks, Forte, Excel, etc.
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
- Previous experience in precast concrete design and steel structures is an asset
- Previous construction experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for commercial and industrial building projects.
- Provide clear Bluebeam/pdf mark ups to the drafting team
- Review shop drawings for structural components of building systems including roof decking, structural steel, roof and floor trusses, etc.
- Perform structural design calculations and participate in peer reviews.
- Conduct construction field reviews and prepare site documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure accurate project execution.
- Develop detailed drawings and specifications using Revit and structural analysis software
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and company quality procedures.
- Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical development within the company
Compensation:
- Annual Salary $85,000 - $135,000
- Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and professional designation.
