As a Maintenance Lead Hand, you will lead on-site maintenance operations and support crews delivering landscape maintenance services across multiple sites. This role sits between Maintenance Assistant and Foreperson and is ideal for someone who is technically strong, enjoys mentoring others, and is ready to take on increased responsibility.
Maintenance Lead Hands guide crews on site, help coordinate daily tasks, and support the Foreperson to ensure maintenance contracts are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Key Requirements:
- Lead and participate in daily landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing debris, fertilizing, and watering turf areas
- Perform planting, pruning, weeding, and seasonal landscape maintenance tasks
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate power equipment including lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning tools, aerators, power rakes, sod cutters, and lawn tractors
- Coordinate daily workflow, tasks, materials, and equipment for assigned sites
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job support to Maintenance Assistants
- Maintain quality, efficiency, and workmanship in line with company standards
- Ensure job sites are safe, organized, and professional at all times
- Load, unload, move, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients or site contacts when needed
- Step in to lead crews or cover for the Foreperson when required
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in landscape maintenance or a related field
- Proven ability to lead, guide, and supervise maintenance crews
- Strong technical knowledge of turf care, pruning, seasonal clean-ups, and general landscape maintenance
- Experience operating a wide range of landscape maintenance equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site maintenance issues efficiently
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to foster a positive team environment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required

Pay: $28.50-$31.50
