Interlake Brewing Co. is looking for a reliable, motivated Kitchen Assistant Manager to join our leadership team.
This position is ideal for an experienced line cook, kitchen supervisor, or aspiring chef who is ready to take the next step into management. You'll work closely with the Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations, support the team, and help deliver exceptional food and guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Support the Kitchen Manager in day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead shifts and supervise kitchen staff
- Assist with scheduling, inventory management, and ordering
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Help train and mentor team members
- Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are met
- Assist with menu development and feature creation
- Step into leadership roles when the Kitchen Manager is unavailable
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example
- Passion for food, hospitality, and teamwork
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
