We maintain an active roster of independent trade professionals and general laborers. When new projects arise, job details are broadcast to our roster, allowing you the ultimate flexibility to select the projects and calendar days that work best for your schedule.
Positions Available
We are actively seeking candidates across two experience tiers:
- Skilled Finisher / Machine Operators: Experienced trade professionals capable of leading floor preparation and finishing sequences.
- General Trade Laborers: Reliable, hardworking individuals to support site setup, material mixing, installation assistance, and post-project cleanup.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Perform mechanical grinding, shot-blasting, edge grinding, and diamond scraping to prepare concrete substrates.
- Floor System Installation: Apply multi-coat epoxy systems, broadcast aggregates, pour terrazzo matrices, and execute multi-step concrete diamond polishing processes.
- Slab Remediation: Route and repair structural cracks, treat spalled control joints, and apply self-leveling underlayments or patch compounds.
- Site Management: Maintain clean, safe work areas, manage dust control systems (HEPA vacuums), mix chemical components precisely, and assist with final site cleanup.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Specialized Experience: Prior, hands-on experience laying epoxy floors, terrazzo floors, or polishing concrete is highly preferred.
- Equipment & Machinery Operation: Candidates who can proficiently operate the following equipment will be prioritized and considered strongly:
- Planetary Concrete Grinders (e.g., Husqvarna, HTC, or Prep/Master systems)
- Heavy-Duty Dust Extractors and HEPA Vacuums
- Ride-on or Walk-behind Floor Scrapers and Shot-Blasters
- Hand Grinders, Floor Burnishers, and Specialized Mixing Drills
- Availability: Because our commercial and residential project timelines shift quickly, candidates must be available to accept project assignments on short notice.
- Safety & Certifications:
- Must possess and bring your own standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and appropriate respiratory protection (dust masks/respirators).
- Valid Working at Heights, WHMIS, or occupational safety certifications are highly valued.
- Transportation: Reliable access to transportation to commute to various job sites across Southern Ontario.
