The Role
At Sava Crepes & Coffee, we celebrate authentic flavour, precision craftsmanship, and warm neighbourhood hospitality.
We are seeking a multi-skilled café professional for our Yonge St. location who is passionate about French pastry, handcrafted crêpes, specialty coffee, and exceptional guest experience.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring focus, cleanliness, accountability, and strong attention to detail across both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCrêpe & Pastry Production
- Prepare regular and buckwheat crêpe doughs from scratch according to Sava standards
- Prepare and flip signature sweet and savoury crêpes to order
- Bake croissants and traditional French pastries in-house
- Maintain gold-standard texture, freshness, and presentation throughout the day
- Monitor production timing, storage, and rotation
Barista Service
- Operate espresso equipment to craft high-quality coffee and specialty beverages
- Maintain speed, consistency, and visual presentation standards
- Keep machines calibrated, clean, and service-ready
POS & Guest Experience
- Accurately manage POS transactions and cash handling
- Deliver warm, attentive service to neighbourhood regulars and new guests
- Maintain an inviting, professional customer environment
Back-of-House Operations & Kitchen Ownership
- Maintain full BOH cleanliness, organization, and food-safety standards
- Complete daily prep work, station setup, and inventory readiness
- Execute proper opening and closing of the kitchen, including cleaning, storage, and shutdown procedures
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational checklists at all times
RequirementsEssential
- Prior café, bakery, or food-service experience
- Strong multitasking ability across oven, crêpe griddle, espresso station, and BOH prep
- High sense of urgency with precision and care
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Immediate availability with flexible scheduling, including weekends
Preferred
- Experience working with laminated doughs, croissants, or French pastry
- Familiarity with specialty coffee preparation
- Experience using Square or similar POS systems
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
