The Filler Operator plays a vital role in the day‑to‑day success of our production operations. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating filling and packaging equipment while ensuring product quality, food safety, and production targets are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate filling machines within the Packaging Department.
- Ensure the integrity of package seals, product quality, and accurate weights.
- Lead order runs and verifies quantities produced.
- Monitor production lines and perform routine system checks to ensure smooth operation.
- Conduct daily CIP (Clean-in-Place) washes of systems.
- Communicate with Maintenance and Supervisory staff regarding production issues.
- Complete and maintain documentation related to GMPs, MSS, and HACCP requirements.
- Maintain accurate packaging records and perform line checks, as required.
- Cross-train on equipment and machinery in various plant areas.
- Provide relief coverage for other machine operators and plant helpers.
- Adhere to Food Safety and Quality responsibilities as outlined in SOPs and training materials, including accurate record keeping.
- Attend required training courses and development sessions.
- Other job duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of GMPs and HACCP, including excellent sanitary practices.
- Minimum of 2 years’ machine operating experience; relevant dairy or food manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Experience with CIP systems, Aseptic, and ESL packaging preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to work well in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
- Punctual, reliable, and diligent.
- Basic computer skills and experience working with automated machinery.
- Flexible to work various shifts and provide vacation or illness coverage as required.
