Job Description
The Senior Associate Director, IT, Data Modelling and Reporting will report to IT Head of Reporting & Analytics, and work closely with leadership in IT, Operations and Product Management team to elevate firm data modelling and reporting & analytics capability on MUFG Data Hub, including but not limited to:

Data Modelling & Architecture: Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for investment accounting, focusing on transactional, holding, and valuation data (Investran, Geneva, Mantra, Yardi).

System Integration Support: Work closely with Data Engineering team to Map data from varied systems into a standardized data model, ensuring structural integrity and handling complex public market data and non-standardized private market data.

Accounting Systems Expertise: Work closely with platforms like Investran or Geneva to understand GL structures, capital calls, distributions, and performance calculations to build robust data structures.

Performance & Reporting Models: Create models optimized for portfolio analytics, performance attribution, and investor reporting.

SQL Optimization: Develop complex SQL queries and support ETL processes, ensuring high-performance data loading and transformation.

Data Governance: Define data definitions, lineage, and metadata standards to ensure data quality and auditability.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in data modelling and reporting; experience in financial services, with a focus on investment management, private equity / Hedge funds is preferred.

3+ years of leadership experience in a reporting and analytics role.

Proficiency in programming languages or tools like SQL, Python or R.

Experience on Databricks, Snowflake or Amazon Redshift (AWS) etc cloud data platforms.

Experience of working on various investment reporting systems like Geneva, Mantra, Investran, Yardi etc.

Familiar with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audience.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment.
