Full job description

Fronius is an Austrian company established by Gunter Fronius in 1945 and is recognized as a technology leader in two business sectors. In the field of welding technology, Fronius is a competent partner to the international automotive industry and other metalworking industries where high quality is a major concern. Its superior know-how also established Fronius in the field of photovoltaics, where it produces high quality solar inverters.

Your responsibilities will include:

Receiving, unpacking, checking, counting, booking-in and storing products and supplies
Preparing goods for shipping on parcels, pallets and ships products and materials
Preparing BOL, recording shipment data, including weight, dimensions, shipping charges, tracking numbers
Requesting quotes from carriers for shipping orders, comparing and selecting the best one, case by case
Making claim reports for damages and discrepancies, directing them to the right department
Completing shipping/receiving reports and storing the records
Operating forklift, storing pallets on multiple levels of racks up to 19 feet
Maintaining forklift truck or other devices in the warehouse by completing preventive maintenance requirements
Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling material
Handling and moving objects - using hands, arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
Participating in the annual inventory counting
Arranging the tools at the end of work day and maintain a clean and organized work space
Other related duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will fulfil the following criteria:

Positive attitude, team player, self-motivated, process oriented, highly productive, reliable, reporting skills and respect are key traits we expect from the new colleague.
Ability to accurately count items and differentiate between very similar ones
Ability to stand and actively work 8 hours
Perform duties in an office environment and a field setting
Ability to understand technical terms related to warehouse operations
Ability to occasionally lift up to70 lbs, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms and/or legs
Typing speed around 40 words per minute, experience with: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications
High school diploma with 2 - 4 years experience in the field or related area
Working knowledge of ERP System, Baan preferred
Demonstrated ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
Good arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple scenarios at any given time
Ability to work alone and in a team setting
Work within a multi-cultural environment where sometime several languages are spoken
Excellent interpersonal and written skills
Flexibility on changing working hours when necessary or to work overtime when required
Good written and spoken English
Permanent residence in Canada, living in: Mississauga, Brampton, Milton, Etobicoke areas preferred.
