Strata Drilling Group is a recognized leader in the Geotechnical and Environmental Drilling Industry, operating Business Family offices in Ottawa, Stirling, Port Hope and Stouffville.

We are currently recruiting outstanding individuals for our Operator's Assistant Position in our Carleton Place and Stouffville offices.

The individuals will initially undergo a six month in house and onsite training program with operators of Geoprobe Direct Push, Pionjar, Hand Held and other mechanical devices.

Candidates, who respect safety protocols, enjoy the core values of business family, are physically fit, enjoy working outdoors and have an attitude to learn and grow their skills in the Geotechnical & Environmental Drilling Industry will be selected and invited into this program.

A clean drivers abstract is a must and an AZ/DZ an asset

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driller to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality drilling services while upholding our commitment to innovation and sustainability. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of being the top provider in the industry.
Responsibilities

Operate drilling equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-operation checks on machinery and equipment.
Monitor drilling operations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to optimize drilling processes.
Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and performance metrics.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues during operations.
Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Driller or in a similar role within the drilling industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills.
Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and oil & gas operations.
Ability to perform rigging tasks safely and effectively.
Valid commercial driving license is preferred.
Experience operating excavators, cranes, and forklifts is an asset.
Knowledge of construction practices is beneficial.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
