Muskoka Landing Retirement Lodge is a premier licensed retirement community in Huntsville, Ontario and offers 100 well-appointed suites as well as 14 exclusive lakeside town homes.Huntsville is approximately 124 km north of Barrie and 76 km south of Parry Sound.This beautiful town is known for access to many nature trails, parks and lakes. Thanks to the terrain and climate, outdoor activities in and around Huntsville are available year-round, ranging from hiking, camping, paddling and bicycling in warmer months to skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in winter.
Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible and accountable for providing optimum cleaning services to promote the well-being of each individual resident. The primary focus of this role is resident care and safety, alongside adhering to operational guidelines. Key responsibilities include shared accountability for maintaining lodge equipment and residents' personal possessions, and ensuring health and safety by adopting safe practices, immediately reporting unsafe conditions, attending mandatory safety training, and complying with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Experience with environmental services preferred
Must demonstrate good communications skills
Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Prior experience in Retirement Lodge/Hospitality Industry an asset
Vulnerable Sector Police Record check as required under either the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 81 (2) and Ontario Regulation ss. 252 (1) or the Retirement Homes Act, 2010, Reg 13.(1-6)
