Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Grinder/Labourer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for precision grinding of metal components, ensuring they meet strict quality standards. This role requires a commitment to high-quality work while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

Grinding and polishing of components;
Operate sandblasting equipment;
Clean/Mask/Paint components;
Clean/maintain machinery as per instructions;
Assist in dismantling of machinery and components;
Coordinate and record maintenance of all NHT vehicles (passenger vehicles, trucks, trailers, forklift, cranes);
Empty/sort scrap metal containers and ensure garbage containers are emptied on a regular basis;
Sweep/clean shop;
Maintain yard cleanliness, including keeping the entrances to the office and shop are kept clear during the winter;
Assist shop or office personnel, when required.

Skills

Highly motivated; productive within a team environment;
Excellent listening and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail;
Takes an organized and enthusiastic approach to work;
Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure, results-oriented environment;
Aptitude for following detailed, step-by-step instructions and managements direction;
Willingness to grow with position as role evolves;
Ability to lift and transport large, moderately heavy equipment;
Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings;
Driver's License and a clean driving record is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
