ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
McDougall Energy is expanding our Fabrication Division into an additional location with a new, fully equipped shop. We are looking for a mechanically inclined trades professional to fill the position of Tank Truck Fabrication Technician at our St. Thomas Fabrication Shop. This is a Weekday, Day Shift role.
In this role, you will be responsible for building specialized fuel and propane equipment, including tank trucks and trailers. This is not a production line. This is a build, repair, and problem-solving role working with equipment that will perform safely in real-world conditions. All team members will have a safety-focused mindset. ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate will be Part mechanic – Part fabricator – Part problem-solver with:

Strong Mechanical Aptitude and hands on experience

Comfort using Tools and working with industrial equipment
-
The ability to diagnose issues and think logically under pressure
-
Attention to detail and respect for safety critical work
-
Physically capable of working with heavy components and within confined spaces.

A Positive, reliable work ethic and willingness to learn
-
Ability to work independently while valuing team input

Mechanics roller toolbox and personal tools required
-
Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces

Strong safety-Mindset

Industrial Millwright (ticketed or non-ticketed)

Mechanical, Fabrication, or Heavy – Equipment experience.

Welding (MIG/TIG)

Hydraulics, pneumatics automotive wiring.

Tank truck, trailer, or specialty vehicle experience
