Position Summary
The IT Manager provides leadership and oversight for the organization’s IT operations, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of all technology systems supporting business functions. This role requires a strong operational mindset to manage a broad range of IT services, including infrastructure, applications, communication systems, and end-user support.
The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted system availability during production hours while driving continuous improvement, standardization, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Reports To: Regional IT Director, Americas
Key Responsibilities
- Lead IT operational and strategic planning, including innovation, project planning, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all IT systems, including networks, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, telecommunications, and office automation equipment.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT systems to support uninterrupted production operations.
- Analyze, benchmark, and recommend improvements to IT infrastructure and systems to support organizational growth.
- Manage end-user services, including help desk and technical support, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define system requirements and support new technology implementations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements where applicable.
- Develop and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs); liaise with vendors to negotiate contracts and service agreements aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain IT asset management practices for hardware, software, and related equipment.
- Manage the IT department budget, including forecasting, purchasing, and cost control; develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses for IT initiatives.
- Establish, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures, including security, disaster recovery, architecture, and service delivery standards.
- Ensure compliance with JSOX (Internal Controls) and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Lead and develop the IT team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Drive standardization, automation, and digitization initiatives across the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or team management responsibilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in managing and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with IT project management and vendor coordination.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are considered an asset.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Active Directory environments.
- Experience with VMware, Veeam Backup & Replication
- Familiarity with IT service management tools such as JIRA and Confluence is an asset.
- Knowledge of SAP systems is considered an asset.
- Experience in network infrastructure
