Full job description

Golden Eagle Golf Club is a 36 hole Golf Facility situated amidst the beautiful Thompson Mountains in Scenic Pitt Meadows British Columbia. Our Food and Beverage offering caters to golfers as well as Weddings, Events and Banquets throughout the year.

Position

The Line Cook / Events Cook is a afternoon / evening shift responsible for over overseeing and assisting in the operations of the kitchen facilities. They will work closely with the Executive Chef to execute and provide high quality food and guest experience to our guests.

-What you will do.

-hands on cooking while simultaneously driving speed of service and quality control

-assist the Executive Chef preparing, cooking and executing events

-ensure all BOH areas are highly organized and meticulously clean

-responsible for closing the kitchen (no late nights 9-10pm)

-own reliable transportation as we are not located on public transportation line

About you

-you have minimum 3 years’ experience as a cook with high volumn experience

-have worked in banquets or catering or the thought of doing so excites you

-you work calmly under pressure while maintaining a sense of urgency to hit timelines

-basic food safety certification

-you are a great problem solver, self-motivated, and keep a high paced kitchen organized

-love working with food and cooking high quality, local ingredients

-creativity and ability to cook foods from scratch
